New roles for Chase Ellison
March 29th, 2007
Chase Ellison has quite a few new movies coming up for release this year and next.
The first is a short film from Seismic Pictures called Quake. Filmed in Los Angeles, California Chase plays the part of Toby Fisher, a 13 year old boy who has to learn to face his fear of earthquakes when scientists discover a new fault line runnning through his neighbourhood.
Second is a new Alan Ball (American Beauty, Six Feet Under) project called Nothing is Private based on the Alicia Erian’s novel Towelhead. Set during the Gulf war it tells the coming of age story of a 13 year old Arab-American girl. Chase plays the role of Zack.
Next is Rocket for which production has just begun. Tells the story of Eliot, a 35 year old man who’s commitment problem to his girlfriend stems from a troubled relationship with his unhappily married father. Chase plays the part of Eliot when he was young.
Finally is the movie Fireflies in the Garden starring Julia Roberts, a semi-autobiographical story which centres on the complexities of love and commitment in a family torn apart by an unexpected tragedy. Chase will be playing the part of Christopher.
2007 will be a very busy year for Chase!
Aidan Mitchell introduction
March 27th, 2007
Although Aidan Mitchell was born in the United States of America it was during his 7 year residency in Ireland that he made his acting debut as Bill Sykes in a stage production of Oliver. It was clear that Aidan was a born actor. Even at age 6 he took his performances very seriously and by the time he was 8 he was sneaking extra stage time by adding lines to his characters. Aidan also loved writing his own scripts and would often perform with his friends and family in front of his own home movie camera.
When Aidan was 11 years old his family moved back to America and Aidan began working to improve his American accent which paid off when he landed the lead role of Nate Gibbs in the award-winning feature Simple Things.
Aidan’s most recent role is as Sam Malloy in the new TV series The Riches which also stars Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver.
I recently started the Aidan Mitchell Fansite.
Chase Ellison introduction
March 27th, 2007Chase Ellison is a young male actor from across the pond in California, USA. Although he now lives in San Diego he was originally from Reno, Nevada where he was born on September 22nd 1993.
Even at such a young age, Chase has quite a lot of experience under his belt having starred in both TV and movie roles. His TV appearances include the long running serial The Young and the Restless, 7th Heaven, Malcolm in the Middle and Deadwood. The movie titles that he has had roles in have often had a bit of controversy surrounding them. None more than the powerful Gregg Araki film, Mysterious Skin, in which Chase plays the role of 8 year old Neil McCormick whose life is shaped considerably by the relationship he has with his Little League coach. I thought Chase did a phenomenal job with such a challenging role.

Welcome to BoyStars!
March 25th, 2007BoyStars is a website that will feature news and information about famous and talented boys from around the world. As I already run a couple of fansites for young male actors I thought I would create an umbrella site to give some form of structure to my projects. There are similar sites out there as you probably have seen so it will be a challenge for me to set mine apart from the rest.
I have decided to run this site as a blog not only because it is one of the most popular formats on the web but also as it suits the nature of the site content. At this point in time I plan to gather various tidbits of information relating to young male celebrities from around the web. For the time being I will be focusing on the few featured boys of which I already run websites for. I will add new stars from time to time as they catch the my or the public’s eye. I will endeavour to not limit myself to young actors but will keep an eye on all kinds of pursuits including art, music, song, sports, and even academic.
